Guidelines on Duties & Responsibilities of Officers for Gram Sabha and Reconstitution of Executive Committee of JFMC/EDC in the State

District Observer: He/she will have following duties and responsibilities:

1. The District Observer (Senior Officer) deputed from HQ to coordinate with concerned CF (T/WL)-cum Chairperson of the Territorial/Wildlife FDAs and guide the DFOs cum CEOs and their staff for Gram Sabha meeting for the endorsement for the approval of rationalized, reorganized and reconstituted JFMC/EDC by Gram Sabha.
2. He/she will see that Gram Sabha held as per procedures and in fair manner.
3. He/she will also see that the Executive Committee members of a JFMC/EDC are selected/elected as per NAP guidelines.
4. He/she will also countersign the status report of Gram Sabha and reconstitution of the Executive Committee of JFMC/EDC to be submitted by DFO-CEO to CF cum Chairperson FDAs (T/WL).
