Sikkim ENVIS Hub, Department of Forest and Environment, Government of Sikkim is organizing a Two-Day Green Teacher’s Capacity Building Activities on issues viz. Challenges of Managing Solid Waste – the plastic problem, Challenges of Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Green School Audit in association with Centre for Science and Environment (New Delhi) on Sptember 15-16, 2022 (10am to 3pm) at Forest Conference Hall, Deorali, Gangtok.
Date, Time and Venue:
1. For schools from Gangtok, Pakyong and Mangan Districts (for 80 schools) – 15th September, 2022 (Thursday) at Forest Conference Hall, Deorali, Gangtok (10 am to 3 pm)
2. For schools from Namchi, Soreng and Gyalshing Districts (for 80 schools) – 16th September, 2022 (Friday) at Forest Conference Hall, Deorali, Gangtok (10 am to 3 pm)
Resource persons from Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi Ms Tushita Rawat, Prorgamme Manager (EEU) and Mr Neeraj Kumar, Dy Programme Manager (EEU) have been invited to impart the training. This is also an important component for competing for the National and State – level Green School Programme Awards 2022-23. The training is being organized to commemorate the celebration of World Ozone Day with the theme “Montreal Protocol@35: global cooperation protecting life on earth”.
