The World Health Day is celebrated every year on 7th April, under the aegis of the World Health Organization (WHO), to shed light on global health issues and concerns & create awareness among masses. Keeping in view the current COVID-19 pandemic; one significant issue that has been highlighted is inequality in health services and benefits.
This year, WHO has started a Campaign called “Building a fairer, healthier world”, with an objective that everyone has living and working conditions that are conducive to good health and monitor health inequities, and ensure that all people are able to access quality health services when and where they need them.

Fire Safety Week
April 14-20, 2021
The Fire Service Week (FSW) is observed countrywide under the leadership of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India during 14th - 20th April. On this day, in the year 1944, the fire service personnel demonstrated exemplary bravery and dedication to duty as they fought the huge fire that had erupted after an explosion at Victoria Docks in Mumbai Port. Many fire fighters lost their lives, leaving behind their names etched in the minds of people forever and as a reminder for all the sections of society, business and Industry to evaluate their fire safety requirements, develop appropriate plans for fire prevention, control, rescue and rehabilitation and commence a campaign for fire safety during the FSW.
