Every year, 19th August is observed as the World Humanitarian Day to celebrate the spirit that inspires humanitarian work around the globe. The day aims to increase public awareness about humanitarian assistance activities worldwide and the importance of international cooperation. On this year’s World Humanitarian Day, the UN and its partners are advocating for the protection of civilians, aid workers, and all those affected by conflict. This day will be dedicated to mobilizing member states, civil societies, and global leaders to increase public awareness of this issue, for suitable actions.
