World Habitat Day 2016

World Habitat Day is observed every year on the first Monday of October throughout the world. This year it is observed to be on 3rd October 2016. It was officially designated by the United Nations and first celebrated in 1996. It is celebrated to recognize the basic right of all humanity to adequate shelter, and to encourage grassroots action toward ending poverty housing.
