Swachh Bharat Abhiyan – Swachhta Pakhwada, 

August 1-15, 2016

Sikkim State National Green Corps coordinated by the ENVIS Cell under Forests, Environment & Wildlife Management Department, Government of Sikkim (The State Nodal Agency) will be celebrating the Swachchta Pakhwada, a fortnightly event from 1^st August to 15^th August, 2016 to contemplate the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in association with all 766 school Eco-Clubs of the State.  

List of suggested activitites are as under:

1. Campaigns for water conservation and tree plantation.
2. Sensitization on safe sanitary practices and solid waste management practices at schools.
3. Schools to register and take mass pledges on the website swachhbharat.mygov.in and undertake cleaning drives in and around school surroundings and upload before and after pictures in the website.
4. Celebration of International Youth Day on 12^th August, 2016.
