Green Teacher's Training Programme for 250 school Eco-Clubs of Sikkim

In order to strengthen the functioning of school eco-clubs in the State, ENVIS Centre at Forests, Environment & Wildlife Management Department, Government of Sikkim, Gangtok is organizing ‘Green Teacher's Training Programme' for 250 green teachers in three batches on 20th, 21st and 22nd of August, 2015 at Forest Conference Hall, Deorali, Gangtok.
Day 1: 20th August, 2015. 100 schools from North and East Districts
Day 2: 21st August, 2015. 100 schools from South and West Districts
Day 1 and Day 2 will focus on Solid Waste Management and Green Schools Auditing. The trianing will be imparted on Green Schools Programme by the resource persons from Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi.

Day 3: 22nd August, 2015: 50 schools slected from all districts
50 excel schools based on the merit of their environment conservation practices in previous years have been selected for the day 3 training programme which will focus on water and biodiversity based on the earthian schools programme. Schools enrolling in the above training programmes will be competing for the Nationals awards as well.
