WORLD DAY TO COMBAT DESERTIFICATION 2015

World Day to Combat Desertification: The United Nations' World Day to Combat Desertification is annually observed on 17th June to highlight the urgent need to curb the desertification process. It also aims to strengthen the visibility of the dry lands issue on the international environmental agenda and to promote community and ecosystem resilience while improving the human condition particularly in dry lands. The theme for this year is “Attainment of food security for all through sustainable food systems”.
