PARYAVARAN MAHOTSAV 2015 - SIKKIM

As notified by the State Government vide Notification No. 40/Home dated 21/06/2013 that the period from 15th June to 30th June shall be observed as "Paryavaran Mahotsav" in the State of Sikkim every year, Sikkim will be celebrating the 3rd successive environment festival this year.

 To commemorate the 2015 event, various activities such as;

• Massive plantation drives under the State's flagship programmes viz. State Green Mission and Ten Minutes to Earth on June 25
• Cleanliness drives
• Greenathon (Green Walk and Green Run for Green and Clean Sikkim)
• Signature campaign
• Eco-competitions at schools,
• Release of Posters, Go-Green stickers, 2014 Activtiy booklet and garbage bags for vehicles
• Awareness campaigns
• Environment lectures on Low Carbon Lifestyles at various schools and collegesand many more activities will be carried throughout the State.

COME ONE AND ALL. BE A PART OF THIS ANNUAL RITUAL TO PAY DIVINE SERVICES TO OUR MOTHER EARTH.
