World Heritage Day

World Heritage Day, also known as International Day for Monuments and Sites is an annual observance held on 18th April. It was officially established by UNESCO in 1983, following the initiative of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS). This special day aims to raise the public awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage sites & built monuments and the efforts that are required to protect and conserve them, as well as draw attention to its vulnerability.
