PAST EVENT

15-Aug | Independence Day

India, on this 15th August 2014 basks in its 68th year of Independence celebrating freedom from the British Rule. On this day in the year 1947, our first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru unfurled the National Flag at the Red Fort for the first time. He raised the curtain of this Historic Event and enlightened the country with his words “Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.” Since then, every year, India celebrates this Day as “Independence Day” paying homage to the legendary patriots and freedom fighters of our country with the responsibility to make their Dreams Come True by making India an Economic and Cultural Power.
