International Day for World's Indigenous People 2014

The United Nation General Assembly celebrates 9th August as the International Day for World Indigenous People to promote and protect the rights of the world’s indigenous population and presents an opportunity to honour diverse indigenous cultures and there valuable contributions to improve world issues such as environmental protection. The 2014 theme for this day will focus on “Bridging the gap: implementing the rights of indigenous peoples.”
