Sikkim ENVIS Hub in partnership with IIT Bombay oragnised Students Solar Ambassador Workshop for 100 students across the State as an event to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2, 2019.

The workshop aimed to aware the students about efficient energy consumption practices. Hands-on training were imparted on assembling of solar study lamps at four goverment schools namely Bongten, Chungthang, Kamrang and Dalapchand.

The training was faciliated by Sikkim ENVIS Hub by providing Master Trainer's Training to green teachers and few students of these four schools initially. The training materials and kits were procured from IIT Bombay and Ayanya Energy Solutions Hyderabad. The programme was sponsored by the NGC Cell of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India.
