ENVIS Hub at Forest, Environment and Wildlife Management Department in collaboration with Bengaluru based WIPRO earthian organized a State level earthian schools award at Forest Conference Hall to felicitate twelve school eco-clubs with ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ for their meritorious performance in the earthian schools programme 2018 which focused on activities related to sustainability of water and biodiversity at schools.

 

Appreciating the efforts of school eco-club in environment protection and conservation, the Principal Secretary cum PCCF Shri M L Srivastava presented certificates to teachers and students of government schools from Lingdong, Sarchok, Gor, Sirwani, Sang Tshalamthang, Assam Linzey, Pelling, Ohrey, Tashiding, Maniram, Yangang and Kabrey. The schools were presented token grant of Rs. 10,000 each and other eco-club kits for swachhata related activities. Participatory certificates were also presented to other twenty one schools for successful implementation of the programme. The programme had the presence of Mr. Ashish Shah, earthian WIPRO Associate, Ms. Kusum Gurung, Joint Director of Forests and was coordinated by Shri Rajen Pradhan, Sr. Programme Officer (ENVIS).
