Sikkim ENVIS, Forest Department team  exhibit environment initiatives of the State Government at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi

A contingent of Sikkim Forest Department led by the Pr. Secretary cum PCCF Dr. Thomas Chandy and participated by Pr. Scientist (SPCB) Dr. Gopal Pradhan, Additional Director Shri B B Gurung in a company of State ENVIS Cell and State Medicinal Plants Board exhibited the environmental initiatives of the State Government in the World Environment Day #BeatPlasticPollution exhibition at Vigyan Bhawan premises, New Delhi from June 2 to June 5 2018.

Visitors in numbers to the Sikkim stall appreciated the efforts of the State Government for its clean, green and organic image. The exhibits featured eco-policies and green achievements through video walls, posters, kiosk, models and publications in a 57 sq meter stall allotted to Sikkim.

The exhibition was hosted on an international platform for India being the host country for this year’s World Environment Day celebration and Sikkim is the only other state besides Assam from the Northeast to be given this opportunity on this international forum.
