Green Teachers oriented on earthian school programme

ENVIS/EIACP Hub of Forest and Environment Department in collaboration with WIRPO earthian conducted a day-long orientation programme for green teachers from 60 schools across the state on Earthian Schools Programme on July 29 at Forest Conference Hall, Deorali, Gangtok.

 

The earthian schools programme focusing on sustainability of Water, Biodiversity and Waste Management in 60 schools was launched for the current academic session as a part of imparting non-formal action based environment education in schools. WIPRO associate Mr Ashish Shah was the resource person along with Ms Kusum Gurung, Joint Director (ENVIS) and Mr Rajen Pradhan Sr. Programme Officer (ENVIS) who delivered on Mission LiFE actions to be adopted as a part of school eco-club activity. Towards the end of the programme, a fun quiz was organised amongst the participants.
