Awareness on Cheetah Re-introduction held

As per the directives of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, Sikkim ENVIS Hub at Forest and Environment Deparrment, Government of Sikkim conducted physical awareness drive on 'Re-introduction of Cheetah in India' for about a week during 12th to 16th of September 2022 reaching 500+ students and teachers of schools across the State.

 

While the event was conducted with one hour session for students of GGSSS Deorali, GSSS Tadong and GJHS Adampool at their respective schools, the awareness propagation orientation for about 160 teachers from all the six districts of the State was held at Forest Conference Hall on 15-16 September, 2022.

 

Several schools from Sikkim also participated in the online/ webinar organised by MoEF&CC in which about 5000+ students participated.
