Training on E-Waste Management

e-watseMinistry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), Govt. of India has developed a dedicated course material through National Institute of Electronics and IT (NIELIT) Gangtok for developing skill sets on dismantling and segregation of various e-waste or end of life electrical and electronic equipment, listed in Schedule-I of E-Waste Management Rules 2016.

 

The course intends to impart awareness and knowledge for the youths on dismantling and segregation activities as per the guidelines of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) in order to generate possible job opportunities/entrepreneurship in e-waste sector, specially considering role of Producers Responsibility Organisations (PROs) in meeting the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) targets.
