January 30, 2021: National Cleanliness Day and Martyr's Day/ Saheed Diwas was celebrated with sensitization drive to curb the use of single-use plastics along with clean up drive of jhoras/nallah at Pani House premise and Tadong premises. The event witnessed 2min silent prayer service to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary and other martyrs. Intense day-long clean up drive of clogged jhoras was conducted in coordination with Shiva Gram Seva Samiti Panihouse, Phewa Busty Development Committee, GMC, UDD with the support of ENVIS, Forest and Environment Department. Face masks, hand sanitizers, gloves, waste segregation bins were distributed to comply with covid SOP. The event was intended to propagate Green Good Deeds as a way of life and the participants solemned Greed Pledge to keep the Environment Clean and Green.
