To commemorate the 50th Earth Day with the theme "Climate Action", Sikkim ENVIS Hub at Forest and Environment Department, Government of Sikkim in coordination with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change organised State wide painting/ drawing and poem, video making competition for students of class 6 to 8 and class 9 to 12 respectively. While staying at home, about 200 students participated from across the state. Best five entries of poster/ drawing, poems and videos were nominated for final selection for the National Award to be conferred by the Ministry.
