Sikkim Forest and Environment Department invites one and all to join us in the World Environment Day celebration on June 5, 2022 (Sunday) with the UNEP designated theme "Only One Earth" . Whilst the programme is being organised by all offices under the department including block offices, range offices, forest check post including local dignitaries, functionaries, stakeholders like JFMCs, EDCs, SHGs, schools and with participation of general public at large, the state level function is being held at Saramsa Garden on June 5 (Sunday) from 9 AM onwards. The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) has kindly consested to be the chief guest on the occasion.

Event Highlights: Plantation drive, Clean up drive, Awards and Felications to Green Riders, Green Runners, Green Champions, Presentation of Chief Minister's Green School Rolling Trophy and State Green Schools Award, Release/ Screening of Videos and Publications, Declaration of State Butterfly of Sikkim, Cultural Programme, Online Competitve Events and so on.
