Government of Sikkim last year had launched a new green initiative of dedicating “A Day for Mother Earth” on 7th of July every year. Likewise, this year also, the State Government will be celebrating the day with great zest and fervour taking up environment friendly activities across the State. The day is also coinciding with the closing day of Van Mahotsav Week i.e. 1st July to 7th July. The state level event is being organised at Golitar, Fambonglho Wildlife Sanctuary, East Sikkim.
