Forest and Environment Department, Government of Sikkim is celebrating 50 Years of Statehood with the 1st Sikkim Forest Sports Meet scheduled during 11th – 13th & 18th – 20th April, 2025 at Khelgoan-Resithang and Palzor Stadium, Gangtok.
The theme of the event is “Sports for Camaraderie”.
Events: Football (men and women), Athletics (100m, 400m, 1500m, 5000m), Shot Put, Long Jump, Table Tennis (men, women, mixed), Badminton (men, women, mixed), Carrom, Chess, 5 km Fun Run, 21 km half marathon, Spoon race, Sack race, Tug of War (men and women), and Musical Chair contest.
Celebrating 50 years of Sikkim’s glory with sports, unity and fun games, the theme of the event reflects 50 years of pride, from statehood to brotherhood where forest officers and staff reconnect promoting sustainable lifestyle and camaraderie.
