Eco-Hackathon

Environment Education Programme (EEP) of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India has rolled out Eco-Hackathon on June 5, 2024 for all Eco-Clubs. This initiative aims to bring together students, educators and environment enthusiasts to develop innovative solutions to pressing ecological challenges, centered around the 7 themes of Mission LiFE viz 1. Save Energy, 2. Save Water, 3. Say No to Single Use Plastic, 4. Adopt Sustainable Food Systems, 5. Reduce Waste, 6. Adopt Healthy Lifestyles, and 7. Reduce E-Waste.

Eco-Hackathon is a simple programme wherein students, teachers need to watch few videos and complete puzzles, and then submit creative ideas in the form of video/photo story/voice recording. The best of ideas will be selected for Innovation Conclave to be held at Delhi later this year.

So, if your Eco-Club students and teachers are you passionate about solving environmental issues and have innovative ideas that can make a difference, this is your chance to shine! We’re looking for creative solutions to tackle pressing environmental problems, whether at home, in your neighbourhood, or on a global scale.
