NATIONAL ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS CAMPAIGN (NEAC) 2016-17

Theme - "Swachh Bharat Mission, Ganga Rejuvenation and River Cleaning

Forests Environment & Wildlife Management Department, Government of Sikkim (RRA - Regional Resource Agency) invites proposals from registered NGOs, Voluntary Organizations having valid registration (Unique ID) with Niti Ayog, educational institutions, State Government Departments, registered professional bodies etc. working in the field of environment and sustainable development for creating mass awareness on the identified theme/ sub-themes (See guidelines).

It may be noted that the decision regarding approval/rejection of proposals including the quantum of financial assistance will be taken by the North-East Regional Committee constituted by the Ministry (MoEF&CC, GoI) and not by the RRA.

Pre-proposal workshop Pre- Proposal Workshop organised for NGOs

ENVIS Centre at Forest, Environment and Wildlife Management Department, Government of Sikkim today organised a short orientation programme at Forest Conference Banquote Hall for the State environmental NGOs to enable them to participate in the National Environment Awareness Campaign 2016-17 with the theme Swachh Bharat Mission. The programme chaired by Mr. Suraj Kumar Thatal, Additional Director of Forests was attended by 23 NGOs across the State. The awareness campaign is being sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. It will be participated by registered NGOs, voluntary organisations, government and private schools to generate awareness at local level throughout the State.
