To regulate the research activities in the Forests, Environment and Wildlife Management Department of Government of Sikkim, for the sustainable development of natural resources of State Sikkim and to grant the permission for Research and Development activities or any special activities related to development of State or such other activities as a SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM, a meeting was held at the Chamber of Chief Wildlife Warden, Forests, Environment and Wildlife Management, Government of Sikkim. The house, after careful appraisal, opined that the programmes have been implemented in a fragmented manner by different agencies or departments without any well-designed plans/ methodology and reports thereafter.
