School Nursery Yojana

 

School Nursery Yojana SCHOOL NURSERY YOJANA

 

The Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India has launched a scheme title ‘School Nursery Yojana’ on pilot basis for a period of 5 years with an intention to involve the students of Class VI to IX in raising/ nurturing 1000 nos. of seedlings in the school nursery to bring them closer to natural environment, help them understand the natural processes of germination and plant growth, and make them feel the joy of watching saplings grow.

 

The scheme will be financially supported by NCAC from the National CAMPA fund which aims to support 1000 schools of the country per year with grant of Rs. 25,000/- each for first year and Rs. 10,000/- per year for subsequent two years.

 

Eco-Club Schools having at least 100 sq. meter of open space for developing a nursery can apply in the prescribed form to the respective DFO (Territorial).
